Daniel Bryan is now the WWE Champion but he had to turn heel in order to make it happen. As the referee took a bump, Daniel nailed a low-blow and then he hit his running knee to secure the victory over AJ Styles.
WWE’s camera caught up with Bryan after his big win to ask him about what he thought about the experience. He had a pretty focused look on his face and didn’t say anything. He just looked at his championship, smiled, and walked away, but this new Daniel might not need to speak at all.
It’s going to change up Survivor Series in a big way as Universal Champion Brock Lesnar will now face Daniel Bryan instead of AJ Styles. But WWE switched up Lesnar’s Survivor Series opponent pretty close to last year’s show as well.
It will be interesting to see how a heel Daniel Bryan might do against The Beast Incarnate. If I were a betting man, Daniel is going to take plenty of German suplexes. Hopefully, he will be okay because WWE can’t afford to lose another top Superstar at this point.
