The world’s indie wrestling scene is full of amazing combos you could put together but it seems like NJPW isn’t interested in every option they have, especially during their WrestleMania weekend show.
Dave Meltzer expanded on the idea during Wrestling Observer Radio of what NJPW wouldn’t allow when it came to putting 4 of the planet’s best pro wrestlers against each other in the same match.

“The big idea was Omega and Ibushi vs Fenix and Pentagon and they were not allowed to do that match. I mean New Japan completely blocked it said they could not work against those guys because those guys are AAA guys. But times have changed and the fact is CMLL does use Fenix and Pentagon so maybe someone could book that match.”

It looks like another promotion might be able to book that match, but New Japan Pro Wrestling isn’t interested in having 2 of their top stars work against Fenix and Pentagon. What makes this situation even more interesting is that fact that Kenny Omega and Pentagon already threw down at ALL IN in a match that I’m sure NJPW is well aware of.
