WWE is looking for a tier system on the WWE Network very soon. Because of that, WWE has been buying up video libraries for a while and even have a couple that could offer some bloody and possibly gruesome hardcore violence.
WWE is testing out the idea of filming their live events and will do so at the upcoming Starrcade show in Cinncinati. The plan is to eventually offer house shows on the WWE Network as a Saturday night special event, but not all of the shows will make the cut.
Bryan Alvarez noted on Figure 4 Weekly that WWE plans on airing one house show a month on the WWE Network as part of this new plan. Lance Storm agreed that WWE needs to promote the house shows better to show how much more fun they are. After all, WWE tries to send the fans home happy and he remarked that it’s way more fun for the wrestlers at house shows too.
Hopefully, offering house shows on the WWE Network will drive up subscriptions for the more expensive tier and also possibly assist in boosting live event attendance numbers as well. At least that could very well be WWE’s plan.
