WWE Raw has always been on Monday Night unless there was another event like a dog show or presidential address. But one thing that fans have come to expect in recent years is that the show won’t just take 3 hours of their time. After all, there’s an overrun of Raw to consider meaning most main event segments don’t get started until 11:00 pm EST.
But Bryan Alvarez asked Dave Meltzer during Wrestling Observer Radio about the idea that WWE was doing away with the overrun of Raw which is apparently something that is on the table.

“I read that. I do not have that confirmed. I asked but I haven’t heard whether that’s the case or not… I hope so.”

t was noted that the 3rd hour of Raw can drag and although it “never will I wish it would go away.” Only time will tell what happens with WWE’s television product, especially in the next year. After all, with new television deals coming into play, things could really get switched around.
But the overrun of Raw would not only mean that fans would be getting to bed earlier on a Monday night, but it also means USA Network doesn’t have to doctor their schedule to make up for the 15 minutes they lose into the next show after Raw every week.
