WWE Crown Jewel is taking place tomorrow at noon — but if you want to catch the US Title match between Rusev and Shinsuke Nakamura then you’ll have to tune in at 11am EST to catch the kickoff show. It will only be a matter of time before the WWE roster comes back but for some employees, they’ve been over in KSA for quite a while.
PW Insider reports that John “Big” Gaburick has been over in Saudi Arabia for a month now working on the plans for the show. Therefore, while Cancel Crown Jewel was trending on social media, Big John was already over there working on plans to make the show happen.
Big John worked for WWE for 13 years as a producer and was featured on the early seasons of Tough Enough as well. But he tried his hand at another wrestling company only to return once again.
Gaburick left WWE years ago to work for Impact Wrestling where he was Executive Vice President of Creative and Talent Relations at TNA. He left Impact once again and returned to WWE in April this year where they put him right to work.
He might be an unsung hero when it comes to all the work he does in arranging events, but his role was apparently crucial to helping make WWE Crown Jewel a reality.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
