Ross informs that he’s sailing off on the Jericho Cruise this weekend. He’s sure that everyone will have a great time, and he’s also sure that TMZ are licking their lips at the thought of some video surfacing from this event. As it turns out, some video has already surfaced of Ross and Lawler toasting the crowd to officially start the cruise. Watch it here.

Ross informs that he had cancer surgery this past Thursday. He had a procedure to remove some cancer from his shoulder, adding that there was “such little of it left but you want to get all of it, that’s for sure”.
Ross points out that WWE Evolution will air Sunday, October 28th. He’s on the Jericho Cruise but plans on spending the evening in his room in his pyjamas watching the event. If he was booking the event he’d have Charlotte and Becky Lynch close the show in the main event slot, but he assumes Ronda Rousey and Nikki Bella will close the show. He thinks WWE is trying to make Rousey into a Steve Austin-like character, and he predicts she’ll be in a “world of her own” in the near future.

Ross was blown away by Roman Reigns’ announcement on RAW this past week. He didn’t know that Reigns suffered from leukemia, and the courage that Reigns showed during his announcement was really something to behold in his opinion. Ross notes that all we can do is pray for Reigns and his family, and he is confident that Reigns will beat this disease.

A listener writes into the show and asks Ross to pick his dream announce team partners if he were to call one more WrestleMania. He says he’d love to have Paul Heyman and Jerry Lawler sitting next to him at the announce booth, and he’d have Jim Cornette in the role of backstage interviewer.
Another listener writes into the show discussing the promise of Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate as future WWE stars.   Ross doesn’t see anything that’s holding either of those guys back. Years ago it could have been argued that their size would hold them back, but not nowadays. He called their UK Title match a couple of years ago and that match stands out as one of the elite matches he’s called during his illustrious career.

Ross welcomes Jeff Cobb to the show.
Ross asks Cobb what or who influenced him to get involved in the wrestling business. Cobb informs that when he was a young kid he was a big fan of Hulk Hogan. He said his prayers and bought the Hogan multivitamins, and Hogan’s larger than life character really appealed to him at that time.
Cobb informs that working for NJPW has been above and beyond anything he could have imagined. Before he started working there he heard great things about the company and the country, but the fans, company, and employees are all great, and he can’t express just how happy he is working for NJPW right now.

Ross asks Cobb what makes the NJPW locker room so great. Cobb informs that everyone’s on the same page, and everything is done for the greater good of the company as a whole. Of everyone on the NJPW roster, he’d love to work with Kenny Omega, Okada and/or Naito in the future.
Cobb notes that he’s really enjoyed his time working for ROH as well. He points out that the locker room is great and Joe Koff has been very good to him. Ross notes that ROH seems to bridge the gap between old school and new school and Cobb agrees entirely, adding that any type of wrestling fan should be able to enjoy ROH’s product.

Ross thinks that Cobb would have been a force during the territory days, given his size and the way he works in the ring. Cobb says he would have loved to work in those days and thinks that would have been a lot of fun. He notes that he works a certain physical style in the ring because he can’t defeat gravity, so that makes jumping off the top rope an unnecessary risk. However, he wants to continue to adapt because that’s the only way to improve.

Cobb says he’d be lying if he claimed that he never wants to go to WWE. Working for WWE is the ultimate test and puts people out of their comfort zone, and that’s definitely something that’s on his bucket list moving forward. Ross says he’d love to see Cobb in WWE, where a potential match with Brock Lesnar could result in a great, physical bout. Cobb agrees and also says he’d also love to work with Samoa Joe and Cesaro.
