Chris Jericho is a free agent and the current IWGP Intercontinental Champion. He is still apparently in good standing with WWE, but then again they don’t want to burn that bridge. However, Jericho is his own man and has the ability to get on a plane to work any show he wishes at this point.
Joe Peisich noted on Barnburner’s No Holds Barred podcast that he has heard that Chris Jericho will be at the Bound For Glory pay-per-view. This is a very interesting set of circumstances because until recently Jericho said he is going to stay away from pro wrestling shows in the USA because he didn’t want to upset Vince McMahon.
Jericho obviously showed up and hit a Codebreaker at All In, and it wasn’t a match but it certainly counted. With the current state of Impact Wrestling and the unpredictability of Chris Jericho, who knows what they could have up their sleeve?
It’s important to remember that Jericho has some very good friends in Impact Wrestling now thanks to his Winnipeg Connection. It is also pretty obvious that he works whatever dates he can at this point as well. So this should be interesting.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
