The Super Show-Down event in Australia will be a huge event down under. Many of the top Superstars will be making the trip to take part in some huge matches including a few we don’t see very often to make the show even more special.
The Melbourne Cricket Ground can hold up to 100,000 people for such an event, but it doesn’t look like WWE is shooting that high in reality. There are 10 big matches announced for the card so far, but it would appear that the show is being set up for much less than that.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that WWE is setting up the event to hold closer to 70,000-80,000 people instead meaning 20,000-30,000 seats will be blocked off or otherwise not sold for the show.
A lot of the top ticket prices for the show are already sold and it was noted that since the number mentioned on SmackDown this week was 60,000 people, that in reality, the show will probably draw in closer to 50,000 fans.
This might seem like typical WWE promotion of how many fans are at an event, but 50,000 people is still a big number for a pro wrestling show.
