According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE officials are now interested in a prominent independent wrestler. This wrestler is known as Brody King.
King has a very distinct body type. Meltzer speculated during the show that WWE may want him to change that up but is likely to end up in WWE developmental soon. In fact, it appears this could happen sooner or later as New Japan Pro Wrestling reportedly has interest in signing King as well, and WWE won’t want a rival company to get the competitor.
As we previously reported, WWE NXT General Manager William Regal was recently backstage at the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla Battle of Los Angeles show this past weekend. Based on his role with the company, it is very likely Regal was seeking to scout out new talent.
I’d like to thank every one of the staff and competitors at PWG for their hospitality the last two nights.

King may have been approached by Regal during the weekend. Although we have no confirmation of this, it certainly seems likely as WWE would want to get the doors open with King as soon as they can.
