Matt Hardy has put his body through a lot of damage through the years and it looks like his in-ring career might have come to an end. While you can never count out some kind of cameo return or “one more match” kind of build, it looks like Matt is now filling a role as backstage producer.
He recently wrestled what he says is his final advertised live event for WWE. While sending out a message to fans that they should continue to support Bray Wyat, it seems Hardy is really taking his final bow.
Thanks for the massive love tonight, Corpus Christi. I fulfilled my final advertised live event commitment.
Please support my partner, Bray Wyatt, going forward. He’s outrageously talented & we’ve become kindred souls during our time teaming together. Thank you, SAMAEL.
He has hinted several times that the end could be near for his WWE career. Although it’s a disappointment in some respects because we didn’t see very much from the Woken Matt gimmick in WWE, his career was certainly a legendary one.
Thanks for the massive love tonight, #WWECorpusChristi.. I fulfilled my final advertised live event commitment.
