There has been a lot of talk about Pentagon Jr and Fenix, especially in the last few months. The Lucha Brothers have lit up MLW, Impact, and Luch Underground but some fans, including those in WWE would have loved to see them in NXT. But apparently, that’s not going to happen so soon.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that there has been more talk backstage regarding bringing in the 2 popular luchadors but due to their Lucha Underground contracts, they can’t make it happen. After all, they are locked into a multi-season deal with LU.
It was reported that WWE has shown a lot of interest, but at this point “nothing is happening in that direction soon.” It was also noted that both guys have started making commitments to indie promoters for next year as well.
The renewed rumors that came from MLW teasing something on their Twitter was actually an angle they were playing out on their television show where Selina De La Renta said she had been talking to “Hunter” all week and had a deal for them if they would take English language classes and possible change up their gimmicks.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
