UFC Strawweight Champion ‘Thug’ Rose Namajunas was seated inside the bus when Conor McGregor and co. flooded the basement of the Barclay’s Center looking to pick a fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov.
On realizing that he’s sitting inside the bus, McGregor eventually threw a dolly through one of the glass windows – injuring fighters like Michael Chiesa and Ray Borg, while also scaring the life out of multiple others like Rose, who were sat inside.
Now, 5 months on from the incident, Namajunas’ striking coach Trevor Whitman says she is still traumatized by it all, and hardly steps out of the house other than for training.
Speaking on Ariel Helwani’s show, he mentioned that Rose comes from a abusive background, and that her initial thoughts when she heard the dolly breaking through the glass window was that there was gunfire involved.
