The Bludgeon Brothers broke out of SummerSlam with the SmackDown Tag Team Championships but they wouldn’t leave Brooklyn with the titles after the next SmackDown Live.

Erick Rowan actually hurt himself and Dave Meltzer reported he had a torn bicep leading some to believe that the match might not happen or it might be a schmoz, but the match actually went down. Honestly, by the way Rowan performed, you might not even know he was injured at all.

It was rather brutal and each team got their spots in. The no DQ stipulation was also used very well as they fought all over the outside of the ring. Kofi and Xavier Woods (Big E was still nursing a rib injury from SummerSlam)

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
