Matt Riddle finally ended up in WWE after a long time in the indies and making a huge name for himself. Now the King Of Bros is poised to attack the NXT Universe with his own brand of pro wrestling.

Triple H recently spoke on a media call and was asked why WWE changed their mind about Riddle. He previously didn’t have much of a shot with WWE because he was fired from UFC for failing two drug tests and has been an outspoken advocate for the legalization of marijuana for a while now.

“I think he’s ready to come in and get brought the rest of the way. I also think he’s matured as a person which, we’ll find out.”

“But I think he’s matured as a person and he’s realized where he wants to get to in the business as opposed to just having fun being in the business, there’s a difference. So we think now’s the right time, but time will tell.”

“He’s a very, very talented guy, the sky is the limit and you know, we’ll see what he can do. It’s an interesting thing because I think sometimes people think that we just bring them in and just go with it, it’s not that simple. Not everybody makes it, not everything works. There are a lot of factors that go into it, so we’ll see.”

“I believe in him and I believe he has a lot of potential and talent, but again just like everybody else as they walk in the door, we’ll see.”

When Triple H says time will tell that could mean a lot of things, after all, Riddle and his unique brand arrived in NXT wearing a baseball hat and flip-flops. But that’s part of who he is. Hopefully, he’ll be able to prove himself and do the great things we know he’s capable of in WWE.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
