WWE has booked themselves a loaded card for SummerSlam, but at this point, there are plenty of ways they could book the card. As it looks right now, WWE is planning on more than a few matches to only be bookmarks in feuds that will carry on through the big event.

It appears that SummerSlam won’t close many stories after all. Brock Lesnar could wrestle his final match in WWE if he decides to take off. But the Beast Incarnate could always decide to stick around.

Hell In A Cell is the next pay-per-view set for WWE’s calendar and apparently, a couple big matches are going to repeat themselves if the current advertising is any indication of things.

San Antonio’s AT&T Center will host this year’s big show and the official website for the venue is listing AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe. The website had previously promoted Alexa Bliss vs Ronda Rousey as well, but that match has been removed.

Another new match included on the upcoming HIAC card is Kevin Owens vs Roman Reigns. Therefore, if the Universal Title is in that match, then either guy could theoretically walk out of SummerSlam with that title seeing how Owens can become Mr. Money In The Bank if he defeats Braun Strowman “by any decision” and Reigns is facing Lesnar for the top strap on Raw as well.

But one thing seems to still be the same at least and it includes AJ Styles vs Samoa.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
