EVOLVE has a working relationship with WWE. As such, some of the competitors for the independent promotion have worked with WWE for WrestleMania Axxess and some WWE Superstars and officials have paid a visit to the promotion themselves.

During the EVOLVE 111 show, popular manager Stokely Hathaway put his career on the line alongside Chris Dickinson against “Hot Sauce” Tracy Williams. The bout was contested as an “I Quit” handicap match, with Dickinson also putting his career with EVOLVE and WWN on the line. Dickinson and Hathaway would ultimately lose.

While “I Quit” matches can sometimes result in absolutely no repercussions, there is an ongoing belief that this is a serious angle and will result in Hathaway leaving EVOLVE. Hathaway also appeared to give a genuine closing promo after his defeat, which you can see a taste of below.

Hathaway was involved in WrestleMania Axxess earlier this year, and reportedly impressed officials. While there is no direct current confirmation that Hathaway will be making his way to WWE, his career in the professional wrestling industry does not appear to be over yet.

To begin with, WWE officials were reportedly very impressed with Hathaway during his brief exposure with the company. Keith Lee had a similar transition. He competed at Axxess and was eventually signed due to his level of talent. In much the same way, Hathaway could make his way to WWE sooner than later.

Hathaway himself added further fuel to the fire, releasing a tweet seemingly referencing his career continuing. Check that out below:
