Pete Dunne Believes He Has The Best Position In Wrestling

The Bruiserweight and current United Kingdom Champion sat down with ESPN to talk about his current position within the world of pro wrestling. That is, he believes that he has been gifted with a very unique opportunity to continue working the Independent circuit while gaining worldwide recognition from his time with the WWE.

It’s crazy…I think I’m in one of the best positions in all of sports entertainment. I really do have the best of both worlds — being able to experience things from our own U.K. show, to being on main roster tours, to being a part of NXT — [all] while still being able to take my own independent bookings and take the UK title with me. It’s been a pretty surreal experience.

Dunne is the company’s second longest reigning champ currently, only trailing Brock Lesnar’s infamous Universal Title “run.” He recently successfully defend the strap against Zack Gibson, the winner of the U.K. tournament.
