WrestleMania 34 should have seen the crowning of Roman Reigns as the next WWE Universal Champion but that didn’t happen and WWE was able to score Brock Lesnar’s services with a new short-term contract.

However, it doesn’t look like we really know when Lesnar is scheduled back. You would think that they would have a good idea seeing how Kurt Angle announced Lesnar would be back to defend his title against the winner of the multi-man match at Extreme Rules. However as Brad Shepard discussed on Backstage With WWE, they actually might not know when Lesnar is expected back at all.

“SummerSlam was not a guarantee last time I checked it’s not concrete and he had no scheduled dates after that so there’s something interesting going on there.”

“They think very highly of Brock and he’s certainly able to do things that almost nobody else is. We’ll see what happens it’s going to be very interesting around Fall and Winter time to see what happens with Brock.”

Brock Lesnar is still Universal Champion so you would think he will be showing up again in WWE so he can at least drop his title. But you never know what could happen in WWE because they’ve had to make champions vacate their titles before. As Shepard said, things are going to get very interesting soon enough.
