As one door closes, another opens. As we previously reported, Mauro Ranallo will unfortunately not be calling the matches at NXT TakeOver: Chicago this weekend. He will, however, be at the WWE UK Championship Tournament, filling that role.

WWE has now revealed on their official Twitter account that Ranallo will be calling the action at the Royal Albert Hall. Alongside him will be Nigel McGuinness, who continues to grow in popularity amongst fans.

With a star-studded two nights lined up, featuring appearances from Triple H and Shawn Michaels alongside a number of NXT Championship title defenses, there is a lot of support from fans going into the show.

Ranallo responded to the news.

McGuiness has also sent out a tweet in reference to the announcement.

It is unknown if Ranallo was added to the show due to prior commitments meaning he would miss the NXT TakeOver special. What we can be assured of, though, is that fans in the Royal Albert Hall and on the WWE Network won’t want to miss Ranallo call the action in the latest WWE UK Championship Tournament special.
