WWE is a huge company and their Superstars are some of their greatest assets. Naturally, they need to protect their investments in as many ways as possible.

PW Insider noted that WWE films their Superstar surgeries for a variety of reasons. It a great idea to film it for documentarian reasons in case they want to show the footage in a project down the line or air an update on Raw. But there are a couple of corporate reasons for this practice as well.

It was noted how filming surgeries could also benefit WWE for insurance reasons as well. After all, WWE is footing the bill for the surgery so they need to make sure it’s done correctly so just in case something goes wrong they have their own footage.

Filming Superstar surgeries isn’t a new thing at all and they’ve been doing it for decades and obviously, the hospital has to give the approval to film. But WWE usually keeps with this practice for a multitude of reasons from various aspects of the company.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
