Dr. Chris Amann’s Attorney Is Demanding A Ridiculous Amount Of Money From CM Punk

Dr. Chris Amann’s attorney asked the jury today to consider a $1 per listener judgment for his client wanting a dollar for everyone who listened to the Art Of Wrestling podcast.

I’m sure Amann’s attorney doesn’t realize how ad revenue works but you certainly don’t get $1 for every page view or download on anything. Therefore he is asking for an outrageous sum because $1 per download is something the jury might be able to understand a little better but it’s nowhere near realistic. But it is the average cost of a song on iTunes, so who knows if they could win even if podcasts don’t cost anything to download?

If he is trying to equate every person who listened and opinion of Amann to $1 as well, who knows how you can actually calculate that number because we’re talking about something with no actual value.

If you add in the fact that the number probably doesn’t mean how many individual people actually listened to it because it was a 2-part episode then you’ve got even more to wrap your head around.

But this is a ton of money and way more than the $1 million Dr. Chris Amann was supposedly initially seeking.
