Reason Why Elias Could Win IC Title At Money In The Bank

Elias is ready to face Seth Rollins at Monye In The Bank and the IC Title is on The Drifter’s mind. He’s been treated way better on the main roster than he ever was in NXT and obviously his gimmick has registered with fans and the back office.

Brad Shepard discussed on Backstage In WWE why Elias could logically win the Intercontinental Title at Money In The Bank because if WWE wants to capitalize on his popularity they need to figure out a way to really put him on the next level.

“Everyone loves Elias but WWE hasn’t pulled the trigger on him yet. But feuding with Bobby Roode isn’t doing him any favors.”

“If anybody is going to beat Seth Rollins for the Intercontinental Championship it should be Elias because he doesn’t have that match winning legitimacy and he needs a title right now Seth Rollins does not. He certainly doesn’t need it as bad as Elias does. This could be the boost of legitimacy that his character needs and therefore I would have Elias feud with Seth Rollins and win the Intercontinental Championship but we’ll see what happens.”
