We previously reported that Brock Lesnar will not be competing at this year’s Money in the Bank match and there is a good chance that we may not see him back until the Extreme Rules event or around that time to build to his next challenger.

This morning there was a rumor floating around on social media claiming that Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported that Lesnar may not return until SummerSlam in August because Lesnar is taking time off from WWE to train for the UFC. We have been asked about this rumor and we can confirm that none of that is true and Meltzer never made those claims in his Newsletter, Twitter or on any audio shows.

While it’s very possible that Lesnar’s next challenger for the WWE Universal Championship could be held off until SummerSlam, the part of training for the UFC is completely false. As of this writing, it’s still unknown if Lesnar has even re-entered USADA testing pool to serve out the rest of his suspension, so to report that he’s training for a UFC fight is a bit premature. It’s very likely at this point that that Lesnar doesn’t fight for the UFC at all this year but we will keep you updated if we receive any information saying otherwise.
