Roman Reigns didn’t walk out of WrestleMania as the Universal Champion but he’s still fully expected to pull down the big red title eventually.
But Brock Lesnar’s new short-term deal with WWE could give them some time to plan for it to happen in the right place.
“It could just be that Vince McMahon thought that it would be better to change championships on the Saudi Arabia show. I mean the negative is that not a lot of people are going to watch that show both because it’s not WrestleMania and it’s on a Friday afternoon. But at the same time, they’re really trying to build a relationship with Saudi Arabia for a lot of obvious reasons and this might be a perk given to them.”
So if you didn’t plan on watching the Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia then perhaps you should if you also care about seeing Roman Reigns finally win the Universal Title. Because it might go down on a show that starts at noon on Friday, April 27th. If anything, Roman Reigns is way more likely to get the hero’s celebration WWE wants him to have if it goes down overseas rather than anywhere in North America.
