On November 25th last year, WWE held it’s first “Starrcade” live event special and was a huge success. Starrcade is widely known as the “WrestleMania of WCW” and rightfully so as it was the promotion’s flagship event before it’s merger with the WWE.

It is being reported by Wrestling Observer Newsletter that in a move to curb bootleg merchandise sales, WWE put out a restraining order against any such sales in every city that it will be holding a major event in. This list included every major event happening in 2018, including all NXT Fullsail tapings.

However, Starrcade’s name did not appear on this list, indicating that WWE might not be planning on continuing the special event. There’s a chance that WWE might include the event at a later date but it looks unlikely.

What do you think about this possible decision by the WWE? Sound off in the comments below…
