Taz is joined on today’s show by his co-host, Seth.

Taz opens today’s show speaking about WWE’s newest signing, Jeremy Borash. He says that Borash is a very talented guy, and a hard worker who he worked closely with during his time in TNA. He was very surprised to hear this news because he never thought Borash would sign with WWE. Borash seemed to be a TNA “lifer”.

He informs that the feeling in TNA when he worked there, was that it was nearly impossible to go from TNA to WWE if you weren’t in WWE before-hand. A.J. Styles was a top guy in TNA and he still had to go to Japan first to further prove himself before WWE came calling. Taz refers to this as the “TNA stink”.

He points out that Vince McMahon didn’t care about TNA, and he paid no attention to it. Taz thinks that things might be changing in WWE now thanks to Triple H. The door has now been opened for guys like Borash, Rockstar Spud and EC3 to make their mark in WWE. Taz tips his cap to Triple H if that is indeed the case.

Taz mentions that EC3 was allowed to keep his name after making the transition to WWE, but Rockstar Spud’s name has changed. One reason for this is because Nakamura is already referred to as “rockstar” in WWE. Taz loves Spud’s new role in 205 Live because he can cut great promos, and he thinks McMahon will love him.

He says it’s very cool to see these guys finally getting their due, after years of struggling in TNA. He adds that EC3 made it through multiple regime changes in TNA, and it’s obvious that he knows how to survive in the wrestling business. Taz says there’s a big difference between playing politics and stabbing someone in the back.

Taz informs that WWE is the biggest wrestling brand in the world. NJPW is very successful but they’re still not close to WWE. NJPW just sold out a 5,000 seat arena in the United States, and Taz thinks they could sell out buildings in any of the major U.S. wrestling markets, but they still can’t touch WWE on a Global scale.

He admits that The Bullet Club is a huge brand, but on a Global scale, Roman Reigns is more popular than The Bullet Club. Nonetheless, he’s very happy that in 2018 wrestlers can survive and make a good living without working in WWE.

Taz comments on Roderick Strong competing on 205 Live as part of the Cruiserweight Title Tournament. Taz loves Strong, and thinks he’s very captivating in the ring. He believes WWE should have Strong focusing on one Title on one show, instead of bouncing around on several different shows.

Taz says that if Rey Mysterio signs a full-time contract in WWE, he should not be assigned to 205 Live. Mysterio is a former World Champion and a future Hall of Famer who’s a legend in the business. Mysterio should not be taking a step backwards to 205 Live at this point in his career.

Taz congratulates The Dudley Boyz on their induction into the WWE Hall of Fame. Some people have suggested that he should induct The Dudley Boyz, but he thinks Tommy Dreamer or Paul Heyman will be the guy to induct them. Also, there has been speculation that Heyman will be inducting Goldberg, because they were very close during Goldberg’s most recent run, when Heyman helped Goldberg with his promos.

That sums up today’s episode of The Taz Show. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya tomorrow for another recap!
