Blocks 3 & 4:
In spite of his issues with the main event of Survivor Series, he thought WWE put off a great weekend of wrestling overall. He really enjoyed NXT: War Games as well, and he was particularly impressed by the match between Velveteen Dream and Aleister Black. He points out that the story of this entire feud was getting Black to say Dream’s name, and when that finally happened after the match he thought the announcers missed the opportunity to drive that point home.
A listener calls into the show and says he wasn’t happy with Triple H having the spotlight in the main event of Survivor Series, but if it leads to Strowman getting the ‘rub’ from Triple H down the line then he’s okay with it. Taz isn’t sure if WWE is going that route or not, but if they do he’s sure Triple H will do what’s best for business and make Strowman look like a star. Triple H may be getting older but he still makes people better when he’s in the ring with them.
Taz says he felt horrible for Drew McIntyre who tore his bicep in the NXT Championship match on Saturday night. This injury usually brings with it a recovery time of 4-7 months, but Taz is sure McIntyre will bounce back better than ever. Some fans have been saying that this finish was an audible, called after McInytre suffered the injury. Taz says he can say for certain that this was not an audible.
That sums up today’s episode of The Taz Show. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya tomorrow for another recap!
