Nintendo Switch Users Still Without WWE 2K18 Release Date

WWE 2K18 is all set to release worldwide on October 17 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Users who pre-ordered the special deluxe edition of the game got to pick up their copy today.

That bad news is Nintendo Switch users will still have to wait until the later this year to pick up their copy of the game. As of this writing, there is still no exact date for the Switch release. Retail sites such as Amazon and Best Buy have a date holder listing of “12/31/17” as the release date, but no official announcement has been made.

Gamepur revealed in an interview with 2K Sports that they will be making an official announcement regarding the Switch version of WWE 2K18 sometime in the near future, but didn’t elaborate on that exact date either.

“The goal for WWE 2K18 on the Nintendo Switch is to deliver the same experience as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on the Nintendo Switch platform, including the same game modes, features, and overall experience. We are going to make some important WWE 2K18 Nintendo Switch announcements soon, so please stay tuned for the latest information.”

2K Sports is basically leaving many Switch users like myself left in the dark right now on the exact release date. When I went down to pre-order the game from Gamestop two months ago, I was informed that the game would be coming out on the same date as all the other systems, October 17th. That doesn’t appear to be the case anymore and it could have to do with compatibility issues between the systems.
