In spite of this, Powell thinks Nakamura is still in fine shape overall; there’s just something missing from his presentation right now and hopefully WWE can figure out what that is sooner rather than later.
A listener writes into the show and asks Ross for his opinion on the return of War Games. Ross thinks it’s smart of WWE to revive this brand because it has a great history and lineage, and he assumes WWE will do this brand justice. While some of the initial War Games matches might have been messy, he thinks a revamped, modernized version of this match will work out just fine.
Ross says he was somewhat dissapointed by the Dolph Ziggler/Bobby Roode match at HIAC. He thinks that both men are fantastic, but both are sputtering creatively right now. He thinks that WWE really needs to make something happen with Ziggler now or his prime is going to slip away. The same can be said for Roode, who Powell feels is better suited as a heel.
Another listener writes into the show and asks Ross if he believes Jinder Mahal will lose the WWE Title at WrestleMania. Ross points out that Titles are often won and lost at WrestleMania, that’s the pattern that has been created over the years. Ross assumes that Mahal will lose the Title at WrestleMania if not before, and Powell agrees.
