It’s being speculated that Roman Reigns will go over John Cena the upcoming WWE No Mercy event. Cena is expected to take more time off after his feud with Roman Reigns to work on more projects outside of WWE.

There has been talk that once Cena returns from his non-WWE obligations, he will return to work a program with Jinder Mahal on the SmackDown Live brand.

If you keep up with most of the inside stories, you would recall that Cena vs. Mahal for the WWE Championship Title was originally planned for SummerSlam last month. WWE decided to go a different direction because scheduling conflicts with Cena. This is also the same reason the WWE Universe is getting the Reigns vs. Cena program now instead of at WrestleMania.

It’s also worth pointing out that Dave Meltzer reported that Cena vs. Reigns was moved up because Vince McMahon wanted to give “the rub” to Reigns. This would further indicate that Reigns will go over Cena at the WWE No Mercy before he takes time off again.
