Lane says that A.J. Styles was a guest on Edge and Christian’s podcast this past week, and he recalled sitting in a meeting while working for TNA. Dixie Carter led the meeting and told everyone that if they didn’t want to be there they can get up and leave. Styles looked at Christian and said if Christian would have left, he would have left too. Russo says he can recall Carter saying those types of things to talent on a number of different occasions.
Russo also remembers Dixie Carter getting furious when certain information would leak to the public, such as information on their financial struggles. At one point she told the entire locker room that there would be a $1,000 reward to whoever could tell her who leaked that information.
On another occasion, Russo recalls Carter demanding that every TNA employee, male or female, wear/grow a Hulk Hogan style moustache for his initial meeting with the company. Gilbertti can’t believe that story because of how ridiculous it sounds, but Russo guarantees its authenticity.
That sums up today’s episode of Vince Russo’s The Brand. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya tomorrow for another recap!
