Lawler says that he doesn’t really remember Scott Hall being involved in any particular altercation on the plane, but he was let go shortly after this plane ride. Curt Hennig was also let go shortly after because of his altercation with Lesnar that day, and unfortunately he passed away only a year later.
He says that this was the last chartered flight that WWE ever booked for their talents and Lawler thinks this was a shame. Boarding a chartered flight should have been a rare privilege for WWE Superstars, but as is often the case, wrestlers are their own worst enemies and they lost that privilege that day.
Lawler adds that Vince McMahon was obviously very upset by these events, and was even more upset when the lawsuit came down. Both flight attendants sued WWE over this flight, and the case was settled out of court.
That sums up today’s episode of Dinner with the King. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya next week for another recap!
