Vito says that Jarrett brought in his crew in order to protect his back because wrestling is a cut throat business, but it was certainly a poor decision to bring in the same group who couldn’t get the job done the first time.
Vito believes that WWE is setting up Dixie Carter by bringing her on their programming. He believes they are eventually going to embarrass and humiliate her, and make her admit that her company was always a failure. Vito says that WWE does this with everyone who ever opposed them. They might bring these people in and build them up for a while, but eventually they’ll drop them on their head.
Russo agrees and says that he experienced a similar thing when he almost returned to WWE in 2002, after spending some time in WCW. During his meeting with Vince McMahon, McMahon told him that there were going to be some consequences to pay in the beginning. Russo didn’t understand why he’d have to pay consequences for trying to better his family’s life.
That sums up today’s episode of Vince Russo’s The Brand. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya tomorrow for another recap!
