Jinder Mahal is Not a Worthy Opponent
We all know that CM Punk’ 434-day title reign ended at the hands of the Rock. While many complained, at least the Rock was a big name. Imagine if he dropped it to Heath Slater or Jack Swagger. That would most certainly suck eggs, and that’s not a knock against both of those guys. You just expect these big moments to have big characters involved. Imagine Hulk Hogan holding the title for 4 years and dropping it to the Honky Tonk Man. Not cool.
At this point, I wouldn’t even be mad if Cena got his 17th title reign by facing Randy Orton for the 846th time. I wouldn’t be mad if he beat one of the Shield members. Just not Jinder Mahal. Not Jinder, who, 4 months ago, got tackled by Rob Gronkowski at the Wrestlemania pre-show. That just seems cheap. It’s lamer than a horse with three legs.
This isn’t the ’70s anymore, where you can hold the title for a thousand days and drop it to a nobody so the nobody can drop it to someone else in 2 weeks. This is history that WWE is consciously trying to create. Make good history.
