Blocks 1 & 2:

A listener calls in to start today’s show and says that he really enjoyed The Usos’ backstage attack on The New Day on last night’s episode of Smackdown Live. Taz agrees and says this was something new, and The Usos were the perfect tag team to use this creative for. However, Taz wishes that WWE would have saved this for a PPV in order to make it feel a little bit bigger.

The caller also thinks that Corbin will interfere in next week’s number one contender’s match costing Nakamura the match, and therefore setting up Nakamura/Corbin and Cena/Mahal at SummerSlam. He also thinks Cena will go on to win his 17th WWE Title, and then Corbin is going to cash in his MITB contract to take the Title from Cena.

Taz says he doesn’t think that’s going to happen at all, and he’d take a completely different creative direction. He says he’d keep Corbin off of television for the next few weeks leading into SummerSlam, especially if he’s going to cash in his briefcase because then the pop from the live audience will be massive at SummerSlam when Corbin’s music hits.

He also thought that Nakamura looked motivated during his match last night. Nakamura is a great talent who’s very consistent in the ring, but he seemed to be more aggressive than normal last night and maybe that’s because he found out he’d be wrestling Cena next week earlier in the day. Taz hopes we see more of this version of Nakamura moving forward.
