Another listener calls into the show and asks Bischoff if there is any truth to the rumour that WCW announcers weren’t told that Hulk Hogan was going to become the third NWO member. Bischoff says that’s correct, because he wanted a natural reaction from the announcers that night. If the announcers had known ahead of time, he was afraid that they might inadvertently foreshadow Hogan’s turn and he didn’t want that to happen.
The listener asks Bischoff if there was any reason why Hulk Hogan didn’t have a rematch against Goldberg for the WCW Championship after losing the Big Gold Belt to Goldberg. Bischoff says there wasn’t one particular reason, it just didn’t happen based on the way the storylines progressed after Goldberg’s win.
The next listener asks Bischoff to choose one politician dead or alive, who he would have chosen to replace him as RAW GM in 2005. He says the obvious choice would be Donald Trump, because there’s no doubt he’d be able to get great heat.
Next, Bischoff is asked if he ever attempted to sign Kurt Angle in WCW. He says that he never tried to sign Angle personally, and no conversations of that nature took place within the company, at least not that he’s aware of.
