Why Brock Lesnar Must Become A Free Agent

Creation of Super Stars

Lesnar’s biggest purpose other than ratings and drawing money is to help create stars. Or at least it should be. Lesnar has done little in the past 5 years to actually cement anyone as a star other than Samoa Joe. John Cena, Triple H, CM Punk and The Undertaker already established mega stars. Lesnar’s match will Ambrose was seriously underwhelming on top of that.

Lesnar – up until facing Goldberg – had a rinse and repeat formula of destroy and move with exception a couple of losses. Samoa Joe finally managed to capitalise on a feud with Lesnar and feels like a huge star because of it. This needs to happen more often from now on. Do not have Lesnar feud with the John Cena’s and Triple H’s. Have Lesnar feud with superstars who in 15 years will be in Lesnar’s position and will help create new stars themselves. WWE’s roster is seriously lacking in mainstream star power yet it has so much potential. Stars like Finn Balor, Shinsuke Nakamura, Seth Rollins, Bray Wyatt and Kevin Owens are such marketable guys with huge potential to sit on top of the mountain.

Tying into the last point if Brock Lesnar becomes a free agent he will be able to help create more stars. John Cena and Brock Lesnar are the only guys who can do this. Triple H is much more part time than Lesnar and much less of a draw. WWE is in desperate need of casual stars who can appeal to all wrestling fans. While Lesnar can do this by staying on RAW it will be a minuscule effort compared to what he could do as a free agent.
