Superstars Who Have Thrived Through The Brand Split A Year Ago

AJ Styles

Sometimes it gets boring to talk about just how phenomenal AJ Styles is. The best wrestler on the planet has been fantastic since his debut a year and a half ago. Through various feuds and various amazing matches Styles found himself on the blue brand. He immediately captured the WWE Championship and sat where he had deserved to be sat for nearly a decade – on top.

Styles was a top draft pick for Smackdown Live and up to and including Wrestlemania led the Smackdown Live roster. Had Styles had to have stayed with a full roster it is unlikely he would have captured the WWE Championship particularly not ahead of guys such as Roman Reigns. As well as this, on Smackdown Live Styles has been able to prove himself to a larger extent as more than just a special in ring talent. He has been able to create fantastic stories and promo’s and prove himself on the mic and as a character. Nobody had a 2016 like AJ Styles. In 2017 nobody is a better wrestler than AJ Styles.

The brand split has led to many things but one of the best has been the rise of AJ Styles. While he would have been a star regardless due to his flawless ability in ring and fantastic reputationn and popularity, it is unlikely Styles would be where he is today without the brand split. To say that Styles has thrived over the past year is an understatement.
