As previously reported, WWE decided to cut back on using pyros at events as a cost cutting move and because they didn’t feel like they were needed.
SmackDown lead writer Road Dogg took to his Twitter account to comment on criticism of WWE cutting back on the use of pyro. Here are a couple of exchanges with fans:

I agree. In 3 months it'll be the norm and no one will care, that's our current society. Pyro in a Wrestling show isn't a priority in life.
