Block 3:
Taz wonders what happened to American Alpha’s push because after getting off to a hot start on Smackdown Live, they’ve simply disappeared from our television screens. He says that typically when something like this happens, it’s as a result of some backstage issue or perhaps something happened during a match that got them some heat.
Taz gets into his analysis of last night’s episode of NXT.
He says that Velveteen Dream has a lot of potential, and he likes what WWE is doing with his character. However, he thinks that too much of a good thing is still too much. He would suggest that NXT back off on the ‘Jimi Hendrix/Prince’ theme just a little bit, and let the performer’s talent in the ring speak for itself.
Taz points out that Hideo Itami took a solid uppercut to the face to start last night’s match against Oney Lorcan, resulting in what appeared to be a broken nose. The match was halted and would restart later in the show. Taz says that while the referees and trainers halting the match made it feel real, there’s a part of him that wishes they would have just continued the match in the first place.
