The Taz Show Recap – NXT Analysis, Ranallo Makes His Return, Where Does Strowman Go From Here? More!

Block 1:

A listener calls into the show and says that he thinks WWE should implement cliffhanger endings on RAW and Smackdown Live more often, similar to what WCW Nitro used to do regularly during the attitude era. Taz says he has been in meetings in the past where that type of thing has been discussed, and some people are strongly against cliffhanger endings.

Taz has never been opposed to cliffhanger endings, but some people felt that viewers deserve an actual ending to each show, even though each story has a longer overarching storyline.

Taz thought Mauro Ranallo sounded great on his NXT debut last night. He also thought that Ranallo’s presence helped Nigel McGuiness stay in his lane as a colour commentator as well. He says that NXT looks to be the perfect place for Ranallo, because he doesn’t have to worry about live television and he sounded very relaxed last night.

Taz says that it’s quite different doing commentary for a live show compared to a post-produced show. He always tried to approach both tapings the same way, but that was difficult at times. He also says that unlike Ranallo, he was able to dip his toes into commentating by starting on post-produced shows and then moving onto live broadcasts.
