According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, there were further plans to use the Ball family on RAW following their segment with The Miz.

The story is that they were supposed to sit at ringside for the 6-Man Tag Match that followed their in-ring segment. These plans were nixed and the family was called back after LaMelo Ball dropped the racial slurs on live television. Vince McMahon was reportedly “baffled” by the usage of the word and head producer Kevin Dunn absolutely lost his mind over the issue.

The segment was heavily criticized and widely regarded as a train wreck.
