Ryback is joined on today’s show by his co-host Pat Buck.
Ryback talks about WWE’s consistently dwindling television ratings. He says that the world is in a different place today than it was 20 years ago, when WWE was breaking ratings records every Monday night. He points out that people’s attention spans have decreased dramatically, and there are so many alternatives to watching television as a form of entertainment.
However, he points out that the product is not at its best right now. He’s not sure how much better the ratings would be with an improved product, but he’s sure that they would improve somewhat. He also says that while WWE’s ratings continue to drop on weekly basis, some sporting events are still drawing huge numbers. Overall, there’s no denying that WWE’s product needs to improve in order to resurrect ratings.
Ryback comments on the news from last week, that Bray Wyatt is in the middle of a divorce from his wife and has been seeing WWE ring announcer JoJo for some time now. Ryback says he’s not sure what’s going on in Wyatt’s life, but he knows how hard it must be to have a wife or a family in the wrestling business.
He adds that it’s very easy to fall into the cyclone of the professional wrestling business, and that’s why you see a lot of performers dating within the business now. He feels sorry for Wyatt that this information was even made public to begin with.
