The Taz Show Recap – McGregor vs. Mayweather, Asuka Becoming Stale, Which Championship is Most Prestigious? More!

Blocks 1 & 2:

Taz begins today’s show by speaking about the announced boxing match between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather. For a long time Taz has been saying that this match wasn’t going to happen and even though it’s announced, he’s not sure it’s going to take place. He says that there’s no way McGregor can beat Mayweather in a boxing match, so it’s strange that he’s excited for this given how much he has to lose.

Similarly, Mayweather has a lot to lose as well. Since it’s a boxing match, McGregor will have an excuse if he loses but Mayweather will not. Taz expects that as the August date draws closer, there will be an ‘injury’ or something that will result in the date being moved back even further to October for example.

Taz says that when there’s this much money on the line, it almost has to be a work. He says that even if they’re working the fans, McGregor will still lose this match because Mayweather will never agree to lose in his own ‘home ballpark’.

He adds that he met and worked with Mayweather a big during Mayweather’s WrestleMania feud with Big Show. He says that even though Mayweather is a small guy, he can throw nasty hands. If this bout legitimately happens, McGregor doesn’t stand a chance.
