3. Shinsuke Nakamura
Shinsuke Nakamura isn’t the type of guy to blindside an opponent. He would also most likely go the RVD route and say “Hey you, let’s have a match at WWE Bad Things, only on the WWE Network for $9.99 and your first 30 days are free, so what are you waiting for, sign up now!” Not exactly like that, but you get what I mean.
Shinsuke hasn’t had a lot of time to showcase what he can do, but he’s pretty good in the ring. So if AJ Styles or Orton ever got their hands on the WWE Championship again, it would be the perfect time for Nakamura to insert himself into the title picture.
Heck, he could even go Seth Rollins mode and insert himself into a match between Orton and Styles. After that, either Orton or Styles could fight Nakamura, and my god that would be a match worth watching.
2. Baron Corbin
I also saw this idea on Reddit, but my goodness what an idea it was. Baron Corbin is not the type of guy to wait around, and this has never been done before.
Get this: Corbin just absolutely beats the hell out of the champion and drags him to the ring. He cashes in right there and then to become champion. It certifies Corbin as a badass who takes no prisoners, and adds to the “anytime, anywhere” factor of Money in the Bank. I’m surprised no one’s done this before.
The image of Corbin dragging a wounded champion to the ring while carrying the briefcase with the other hand would make him. Imagine the photos. He’d look like such a god, and I’m not even kidding. It was badass enough when he dragged out Ambrose and put him through a table. This would be even better.
1. Sami Zayn
Sami Zayn’s current character is that of a doofus, but a smart doofus. Honestly it’s not the worst character ever. It’s endearing. Some wrestlers don’t even have a character.
Since Zayn has been established as an overthinker, he should have a few backstage scenes where he asks random people when he should cash in his contract. Have him come out a few times before deciding against it and going back to the locker room to pick a better time. Finally he makes up his mind and finds the perfect time to cash in.
Of course, there’s always the Dean Ambrose method. Zayn has very rarely gotten his vengeance on Kevin Owens. Imagine if Kevin Owens wins the WWE Championship, and Sami Zayn cashes in immediately after. It would be the ultimate vengeance for Zayn, who has been Owens’ whipping boy for a few months.
