Russo is joined on today’s show by his co-host Jeff Lane and Glenn Gilbertti (Disco Inferno).
Russo opens today’s show speaking about the continued criticism he has faced from Eric Bischoff and Jim Cornette as of late. Russo says that it’s obviously jealousy that is motivating these two men to continue their Twitter rampages against him. He says that Cornette actually spit in Ed Ferrara’s face before, so Cornette’s hatred is obviously based around the fact that he and Ferrara took Cornette’s job.
Gilbertti says that no matter what someone thinks of Russo, you can’t be blind to the success that Russo had at one point in his career. Russo had some obvious successes and a few mistakes as well, but his critics highlight only the failures in an attempt to have them define his career. Gilbertti thinks that’s sad.
He continues by saying that everyone tells lies in the wrestling business, Russo has told few compared to most. From Gilbertti’s history working with Russo, he always brought his best effort and did whatever he could to get every talent over. From someone in a creative position, that’s about all you can ask.
