Tommaso Ciampa Possibly Out of Action Six-to-Eight Months

Tommaso Ciampa will be undergoing knee surgery for a torn ACL this week. As noted, he torn the ACL by working the ladder match at NXT Takeover: Chicago when he went in and worked on a pre-existing ankle injury from earlier in the week.

Most athletes that suffer ACL injuries spent around six-to-eight months recovering. If he is out that long, it pretty much kills the planned Ciampa vs. Johnny Gargano angle that the company had planned.

PWInsider noted earlier in the week that once he returns to action, the company will be giving him a prominent position on the card.
