The Money in the Bank ladder match is consistently one of WWE’s best, most entertaining and most anticipated matches. Since its inception it has had some and led to some historic, memorable and utterly fantastic moments. Edge’s, Seth Rollins’ and Dolph Ziggler’s respective, unbelievable cash-ins. CM Punks consecutive victories. The exhilarating first match which has to this day not been topped as an in ring match. These are just some of the many moments from the ladder matches already illustrious history.
On June 18th more moments will be added to that history. Arguably Smackdown Live’s 6 best in ring competitors will battle for the coveted briefcase. The Showoff, the Artist, the Lone Wolf, the Phenomenal One, the Underdog from the Underground and the Face of America. This is one of the best lineups of competitors in terms of talent that the ladder match has ever seen. Seeing the narratives between a whole host of rivalries unfold as well as the hard hitting, likely fast paced action of the match will make it a sight to behold.
WWE however has made mistakes with this match in the past. Giving the briefcase to the wrong superstar such as Sheamus in 2015. Or not capitalizing properly on the superstar they did choose to win the match such as Damien Sandow has hurt the lineage of this match. With that, this list ranks this year’s money in the bank ladder match competitors worst to best in terms of a possible victor.
