Ross welcomes Mike Johnson from PWInsider to the show.
Johnson informs that he really enjoyed the NXT Takeover show on Saturday night, and he regrets not attending that show live. He says that the Takeover events always seem to deliver consistently great matches, and the runtime always feels right. He thought that the UK Title match between Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate was the highlight of the show.
Ross informs that early Saturday evening he went to catering at the building and noticed that both Dunne and Bate were there as well. He sat them down and told them that this was the biggest match of their career, but it was also the most important match of his career. Ross felt a lot of pressure leading up to this match because it was his first match since being officially brought back by WWE.
Speaking about the rumours that WWE may be introducing a weekly UK television show, Ross says that there have definitely been rumblings and discussions but nothing is confirmed as of yet. Johnson says the main thing is that these talents don’t get forgotten in between appearances. As long as they have scattered matches on NXT or UK specials, WWE shouldn’t feel the need to rush into another weekly television show.
Ross says he was quite impressed by the tag team match featuring DIY and AOP. Johnson agrees and says that AOP have taken huge strides since arriving on the scene in NXT, and he believes they had a great showing in this match. Ciampa’s heel turn at the end of the match was perfectly executed in Ross’ opinion, and Johnson agrees calling it great drama.
