As seen on Monday’s episode of RAW, Kurt Angle announced that Braun Strowman will be out of action “up to six months.” They set up a Fatal 5-Way for Extreme Rules with the winner getting a shot at the WWE Universal Championship.

Dave Meltzer mentioned on the latest installment of Wrestling Observer Radio that the company is doing a swap with Brock Lesnar’s opponent for the Universal Championship. Basically, whoever was scheduled to face Brock at SummerSlam will now be facing them at Great Balls of Fire.

For those who have asked, the timeline for Braun’s return is a work and he is expected to be back much sooner. Braun is still expected to be back in time before SummerSlam to challenge Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship.
